Other Educational Programs

Bethlehem Academy
A faith based learning center committed to providing opportunities for our students to find and fulfill the purpose for which they were created.
The Academy calls for three levels of education to be added in stages. The first stage is the commencement of the Pre-school and Day Care Center and the Kindergarten portion of the primary levels in the Fall of 2006. The first grade portion will be added in Fall of 2007 and the elementary level is scheduled to begin in the Fall of 2008.

Computer Literacy Program
The Center has a computer lab to train both parents and children of low and middle income in computer literacy.

Other Community Programs
About-Face. An ex-offender and at risk youth program that helps the participants to receive the support they need to reintegrate successfully into society by providing mentors, employment assistance, vocational or technical training, general/higher education, life skills training, and health education.

Esperanza Trabajando (Hope Works)

A three-year project funded by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) in partnership with its Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (CFBCI), designed to enhance the employability of individuals between the ages of 18 to 34.

Program Goals:

  • To involve Latino adjudicated and at-risk youth in their local Workforce Investment Act (WIA) systems to improve employment outcomes
  • To enhance youth access to the services and resources available through One-Stop Centers
  • To engage local community- and faith- based organizations as active partners in their WIA service delivery systems

Services Provided:

  • One Stop Center Assessment Referral
  • Job Training and Remedial Education Referral where participants can obtain their GED or enroll into a secondary educational program
  • Career Development
  • Supportive Services
  • Ongoing Support
  • Job Placement Services
